California School Dashboard for 2018

The State of California released the California School Dashboard for 2018. This is the official evaluation for all Districts and schools in the state. Professor Egghead Science Academy

We will be hosting an after school enrichment program starting in January called Egghead Secret Agents presented by Professor Egghead Science Academy. Students will learn science concepts as they take on challenges of being a secret agent. Click on the headline for details.

ICS Talks: A Gabrielino HS Presentation

Garielino High School will be hosting a presentation on Tuesday, December 18th at 7pm in the Goodson Theater about the epidemic of vaping by teenagers. You will learn about several different topics and how to keep your child safe. For more information, click on the headline for a flyer.

Holiday Basket Program

The Holiday Basket Program provides food for San Gabriel families and seniors and provides toys for children in the community. These items will be distributed to the families on Saturday, December 15. Senior baskets will be delivered to their homes and families will be invited to the Adult Recreation Center to pick up their food items, toys, etc. Click on headline for more information.

Fiesta With Santa

Santa Claus is coming to town! Please have a Fiesta with Santa on Saturday, December 15th from 10:00am-12:00pm. This year, we are putting a Mexican twist on our annual holiday gathering. Come to enjoy some yummy Mexican food and drinks, have fun doing crafts with friends, sing your favorite Christmas songs, and take a picture with Santa. You may order tickets from the PEP booth.

Spark of Love Toy Drive

McKinley Elementary and the San Gabriel Fire Department are teaming up to raise toys for families that are less fortunate. Please bring an unwrapped toy to donate from December 3rd - 20th. There are boxes inside the main office for your convenience. The classroom that donates the most toys will be rewarded with a pizza party with the San Gabriel Fire Fighters. The fire department will be at Mckinley Wednesday, December 21st at 9am to pick up the toys with their fire engine. Thank you for your generous donations.

Computer Lab Open After School

The computer lab will be opened after school starting October 8, 2018. We have 36 workstations students can use to complete homework, do research, or enrich their academic skills by using iReady, Raz Kids, Typing Club, etc. It is also a great place for students who need space to collaborate on assignments.

Transitional Kindergarten Class at McKinley

McKinley Elementary is now accepting applications for enrollment in Transitional Kindergarten. Students eligible for the kindergarten program must turn five years old on or before Sept. TK program-eligible students must turn five years old between Sept. 2 and Dec. Children who turn 5 between Dec. 3 and Jan. 1 will be accepted as space is available. Enroll today!

Dear parents,
Enrollment for the 2018-19 school year is now open. Please drop by the office to pick up an enrollment package. We have enrollment packages in different languages and we have translators on site to help with the process. Please feel free to come to the office between 8:00am - 4:00pm.
