About Me

     Hello! Thanks for visiting my page. I have been teaching at McKinley since 1996 (grades 2-5) in single-grade and 4th/5th combination classes. After 25 years, I am excited to take on Reading Club, McKinley's reading intervention program. Working with small groups, I will help students build their decoding and comprehension skills to become stronger readers. 

My educational background includes a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA (emphasis in Social Psychology), and a Masters in Education from Claremont Graduate University. 

     Besides teaching, I enjoy building and collecting dollhouse miniatures, reading historical fiction & memoirs, traveling, and spending time with my 2 cats and 2 rabbits.
