About Me

Hello there, my name is Sandra Blanco, and I am an Intervention Teacher (or Reading Club Teacher) here at McKinley Elementary.  I received my BA in Child Development from CSULA in 2010.  I then received my multiple subject credential from CSULA in 2012.  I am currently taking professional development courses at La Verne.  I am certified in CELDT and Thinking Maps.
Here is a breakdown of my teaching career:
  • While obtaining my teaching credential, I was subbing through the San Gabriel Unified School District and private schools; as well as tutoring
  • Classroom Aide at Washington Elementary
  • Classroom Aide at Roosevelt Elementary
  • Intervention Teacher at McKinley
My husband and I have three charismatic boys.  We are actively involved in Scouts.  On my free time, I enjoy family time, camping, and crafts.  Give me a good book to read!
I am so thrilled for the 2016-2017 school year, and look forward to meeting all the amazing parents and students at McKinley Elementary!  Let's have a wonderful year Mustangs!
